A monthly water total can tell you what happened without showing when it happened. South Jordan’s Water Use Portal offers hourly, daily, monthly and annual views, giving residents a more detailed starting point for understanding patterns around the home.
The city’s current My Water Use page lists a one-time twenty-dollar utility-bill rebate for residents who register on the customer portal and enter a water-usage goal. It also describes goal alerts by email or text. Have the utility account number and water-meter number ready; the city says both can be found on the bill, with help available at 801-446-4357.
Once access is set up, compare a few ordinary days before deciding what a pattern means. Note when irrigation or other expected uses occur, and write down questions when a change has no obvious explanation. A chart can prompt investigation, but it cannot by itself identify the cause of every rise in consumption.
Choose a goal that you can revisit, then check that the alert settings suit the household. Keep account details private, and use the city’s official page to reach the portal. If the credit matters to your decision, confirm eligibility and processing with utility staff instead of assuming a previous enrollment qualifies for another payment.
